Congrats to Davin. Lets see if he can beat the Sundin curse and take the team to the promised land.

Great season boys!

Although I must admit that i did NOT get a good nights sleep, reflecting on the past season there were a lot of accomplisments we should be proud off:

1) Team 2 finished with the most points ever in our short history.

2) Team 2 finshed with the lowest GAA ever.

3) Team 1 collected 4 out of a possible 6 points in the last 3 games of the season.

4) We won our first playoff game.

LOOKING TO NEXT SEASON:

- We are going to attempt to keep 2 set forward lines with players who sign up for both leagues.

- I will post the new line-up in the next couple of days.

- We will be voting for a new Captain. Everyone can vote but the nominations will be limited to the players who play both teams. (I will be sending out an email later to get your votes)

- I will like to get a practise for next week but I cant find an arena – anyone have any ideas?

Congrats to Team 2 on finishing 4th overall.

In addition we had 2 players finish in the three tracked Top 10 categories (another first):

1) Doug Walker (Finish 10th in scoring with 17 points in 11 games)

2) Doug Walker (Finish 1st in Molson Three Stars with 18 points)

3) Darren Gnanapragasam (Finish 2nd in GAA with 1.70 in 9 games)

Our playoffs start next Thursday at 6:30pm. This is a playoff game so please ensure you can make this game or else please inform Tahir ASAP so we can find a sub!! Lets make another first with a Playoff round win!!

I believe we all would agree that the begining of this season for both teams have not gone the way that we would like them to have gone.

We made big strides both as individuals and as a team last season, but we need to ensure that the improvement continues this season.

Next week is a new start, lets all try to reflect to see where we can all get better. I truly believe that one way of doing that is to set real goals for the team this season:

A) Record
Team 1: 10 Points
Team 2: 14 points

B) Defence: 2.0 GAA

C) Offence: 2.0 Goals for

D) Goalie SV%: 0.875

We should all take pride in trying to ensure these goals are met in every single game.

To hit these team goals we all have to play better, especially starting with me in goal.

A new start is a around the corner……..
